What is typhoid?
Who is it for?
You may benefit from typhoid vaccination if you are:
- Travelling to South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, or Central America
- Planning visits to rural areas or regions with limited sanitation
- Staying with friends or family in endemic regions
- Working in healthcare, food service, or aid work in high-risk countries
- Spending more than a few weeks in a typhoid-risk area
- Concerned about food and water safety during your travels
If you're unsure whether you need the vaccine, our team can discuss your travel plans and advise you.
How it works
Things to know
The vaccine is not suitable if you:

- Are acutely unwell with fever or infection
- Are pregnant (discuss timing with your GP or midwife)
- Have a weakened immune system (speak to our team to check eligibility)
